Welcome to Chapel Lumber!
Kitchen and Bath
Cabinetry
Kitchen Cabinetry can vary significantly in style and quality. At Chapel Lumber we represent a number major cabinet manufacturers. Having these choices allows us to accommodate a wide range of budgets and tastes.
Construction Styles
The construction style of a majority of the cabinetry that we sell is Framed Cabinetry. This is also called Traditional Construction. This construction style consists of a solid hardwood face frame that supports the door(s). The sides, top and bottom all attach to the face frame.
The other style of construction is Frameless. This is also known as European or Full Access. This type of construction usually consists of 3/4" particle core melamine for the sides, top and bottom. There is no frame so the door attaches to sides of the cabinet.
Construction Categories
Stock, Semi-Custom and Custom are terms used to "group" cabinetry. These categories often refer to the quality and selection available within a line of cabinets. Good, Better, Best could be another way to describe the three categories. There can, however, be overlapping between the categories. Some stock lines offer minor customizing, some semi-custom cabinets offer the quality of the custom lines.
Stock Cabinetry offers the customer a few different door styles, wood species and color choices with very little or no custom modification available.
Kitchen Kompact
We Stock Kitchen Kompact in three styles. (Mellowood, Chadwood, Richwood Lite) Mellowood is maple and the other two are Oak. They have a limited, but sufficient offering of cabinets. Since we stock the cabinetry right in our warehouse we are able to deliver a kitchen to you usually with in a days notice . . . sometimes the same day.
Home Crest
HomeCrest produces middle of the line, framed cabinetry. It is available in Red Oak, Hickory, Maple Cherry and Thermofoil (laminate) They have a good variety of standard options available and will do some custom modifications. They offer upgrades to the drawers and side panels that bring it very close to semi-custom in quality but not in price.
Semi-Custom Cabinetry will have a larger selection of door styles and cabinets to choose from as well as more options to make custom cabinets if needed for your design. The quality of the semi-custom line is typically better than that of stock cabinetry.
Legacy
Legacy is part of the Bertch Family of Cabinetry. Legacy offers many cabinets that others would consider custom as standard. They also have a nice selection of doors, wood species and finishes that give you more options than a stock line of cabinets.
Showplace
With Showplace cabinetry you have a wide range of choices and true custom options to craft a uniquely personal creation in your home. You'll find an array of offerings that are refreshingly logical and versatile, without the mysterious limitations and exclulsions you'd confront with other cabinetry brands.
Custom Cabinetry has everything the semi-custom lines will and more. Custom doors, custom sized cabinets and custom colors are a few of the options you will have with custom cabinetry. If you can dream it up, most likely it can be made in custom cabinetry.
Bertch Custom
Bertch Custom is part of the Bertch Family of Cabinetry. They offer a Framed line called Bertch Traditional, and a frameless line called Bertch Elan. Bertch has, by far, the largest standard offering available of all the cabinet lines that we carry. Your imagination is the only limitation that they have. Custom door styles, custom cabinets, specialty finishes and exceptional quality are all features you would expect to find in a Bertch Custom kitchen.
